We may be a small practice, but our model is that each of our clients gets personal attention from a single designer throughout the design process. The same person will be there with you from kick-off, through close out documents. We have collectively spent decades in the mechanical contracting business, and we know how to design a system that contractors know how to install and won’t cause call backs. Our designs are simple, buildable, and efficient. The engineers at Olert Engineering are currently licensed to provide engineering services in seven states, including Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Missouri.
Jason earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Tennessee Tech in 1998, and began working with Olert Engineering in August of 2002. His experience in commercial contracting means he knows how to design for construction, and his contractor clients appreciate his practical, buildable, cost-saving designs. Jason has been the designer of record on over 500 projects for Olert Engineering.
Prior to joining Olert's team in 2018, Jess had over 12 years of experience in mechanical contracting, serving as BIM/CAD Manager, and in Preconstruction Services, managing multiple $1M+ design-build projects from pricing through construction. She is competent in all phases of design and construction, and especially enjoys the unique challenges of industrial projects and historic buildings.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2006. He began working for Olert Engineering after graduation, where he designs HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems and specifications for all building types. Although he has experience with a variety of projects, he especially enjoys restaurants and hospitality.
With a career that began during the energy crisis of the early 1970's, John's lifetime of work has emphasized the need to preserve our precious natural resources. TVA and ASHRAE have presented awards to John for the energy conserving features of his design work. Although partially retired, John still enjoys consulting on unique project opportunities and working with return clients.
